What is Grind Over Glamour?
Project: Grind Over Glamour is an interactive multimedia learning platform designed to increase reading and comprehension skills through the use of social media content and popular music. In a digital era where kids are distracted on a daily basis, we take the “distractions” and convert them into literary tools to make learning engaging and relative.
Why the Grind Over the Glamour?
In Wisconsin alone, more than 50% of kids in the 3rd-8th grade can’t read at their grade level. In the United States, only 20% of children from low-income households are proficient readers. There is a disconnect in the education system and that is a gap that needs to be bridged.
